My journey to 'now'

It Is How We Deal With Our Setbacks That Will Shape Our Lives.

I have had an enormously varied life, having survived and overcome bereavement, family break-up and parental divorces, a new family and being easily influenced by others, which shaped my years till leaving home. In addition further personal and professional dislocation feeling that I was leading two lives for many years after.

I have put all these experiences into my work with others working in the UK, North and South America, volunteering in disaster situations, finding that no matter how bad things may appear something positive can always be done, that will change the perspective of any situation.

Negative Emotions Can Be Action Signals

When there was anger and pain, what became easy was to emerge myself in work and I was happiest when supporting colleagues and clients. Despite my natural ability to connect with people I avoided intimate relationships. The few that I did take a chance on, did not work out.

With an economic down-turn affecting my career, causing frustration and uncertainty I retrained as a massage therapist. Helping people improve their lives physically, mentally and emotionally, fulfilled me. During two London Marathons I volunteered with Childline; and from then I felt destined to help children.

Yet, I took no action to make that change, as a career. I wonder why? I really did not like who I was becoming, what I was doing and all that I had; or perhaps there was more to learn. So I decided to,

‘Follow MY Heart, And I Mean My Own Heart!!! –
‘The World Is Yours. Shape It Or Someone Will Shape It For You’ – Gary Lew

My heart said:
Get out your current career – the income was lucrative and a property purchased; yet you are miserable and nor do I see you sticking this out forever.
Go and travel and have some adventure that you constantly longing for – there is more to life than the underground and the office.
Learn a language (despite being told you could not) – you love to travel and communicating with the natives would create a more valuable experience.
Create a career involving working with people – this is who you are
And become your own boss – working in large organisations is NOT who you are.

So in 2003, I set off on a journey yet ...

It Is In Your Moments Of Decision That Your Destiny Is Shaped

I knew as I whispered to a friend at the airport, ‘you know I won’t be back that soon, if ever.’ She nodded.

I lived in South America and the unravelling of what had happened began to take shape. I removed the comfort blanket I had wrapped myself in. Took bold steps to learn and do new things, meeting more and more people on their journey to find meaning to their life. Being given a different wealth of knowledge and different perspectives.

I welcomed it all and soon became the overwhelmed with the information and guidance available through books, talks and videos. It was awesome. The more I started to delve into the more information came to me; I want to learn it all... I finally felt inspired and enthusiastic to share it all.

As a massage therapist, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I helped my clients in many other areas other than massage such as health, personal development and relationships. The more knowledge I shared with my clients, more questions they had and I had, thus my curiosity grew. I needed more...

You Must Grow And You Must Give. When You Grow You Have Something To Give.

My journey over the following years lead me through more experiences of emotional trauma... and although answers did not come at the time, I went in search of them.

These traumas, the doubts and the lack of self-confidence continued and yet kind and supportive advice and observations even from strangers, gave me another signal that I needed to take action. I could no longer to continue to live my life like this, nothing seemed certain.

I became more interested in communication and human behaviour in relationships. It seemed more and more apparent that how we communicate is the cause of a great relationships and the cause of pain and unhappiness.

In 2013, I trained at Robbins Madanes Training (RMT), with Anthony Robbins and Cloe Madanes , to master the skills of strategic intervention and coaching. I have now qualified as a Strategic Interventionist and Coach and a Divorce Prevention and Marriage Educator, using the tools of Human Needs Psychology to help clients understand what drives them and why they do what they do, and the 7 Master Steps to create lasting change and my experience to help clients find a fulfilling life of purpose and passion.

In addition and supporting RMT, I am a certified Master NLP Practitioner and Coach, Master Practitioner of Time Line Therapy™ /Creating Your Future™ Coaching Processes, and Master Hypnosis Practitioner.

I have spent 3 years retraining and loved every minute of it and it will not stop as I continue to grow. It is not only through knowledge that I grow, also through daily experiences, becoming more aware of what I think; how I feel allowing me to make better decisions. Inow on live by...

Constant and Never Ending Improvement (Anthony Robbins)

This is the best advice that I have ever heard and I will to pass it onto everyone.

I have no doubts that I will have challenges and make some more bad decisions and yet what I can now confidently say is that

• I check-in regularly to discover what I am focusing on... ensuring that it is the good, the fantastic and the amazing!
• I think before I speak the language I use and how I am say it... to ensure it is positive, encouraging and with enthusiasm.
• And I sense what my body is doing... aligning to a position of ‘I can!’ even during a storm.

We only limit ourselves from doing what we currently believe we can do and yet we can do much, much more. I have NO limits, I have only options.

It has been mentioned in my family, ‘when is Louise going to stop studying?’ and a friend beautifully responded ‘She never will!’ So true, remembering it is not just knowledge but from every experience I have for the rest of my life.

Create the life you want with
friendly support and encouragement all the way...

Warmest regards,
Louise
